Position: Banking Sales Officer
Overview:
A Banking Sales Officer is a professional responsible for selling financial products and services to customers and businesses. They are knowledgeable in a wide range of banking products, such as savings and investments, mortgages, home loans, investment funds, insurance products, and credit cards. A Banking Sales Officer's role is to actively look for opportunities to sell banking products and services, convince customers and businesses to avail them, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve maximum revenue growth and meet set sales targets.
- Analyze customer's purchase habits, preferences, and financial requirements to propose tailored solutions.
- Promote a bank's products and services to new and existing customers.
- Explain the features and benefits of services to customers.
- Maintain regular contact with customers for customer satisfaction and collect feedback.
- Identify areas for improvement in customer service and suggest new ideas and solutions.
- Educate customers about different types of banking products and services.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, and credit history to provide personalized services.
- Maintain records of customer details, transactions, and complaints and follow up with customers post-sales.
Skills Required:
- Up-to-date knowledge of the banking industry, product and services, customer service, credit analysis, and federal banking laws.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills in both verbal and written form.
- Ability to work independently and within teams to meet customer needs.
- Ability to provide analytical solutions to customer concerns.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet set deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, CRM System, Database Applications, Loan Origination Software, and Core Banking Software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field.
- Previous experience in sales or customer service roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of banking products and services.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
