Purchasing Assistant Job Description

Job Brief:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement process within our organization. You will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of goods and services, collaborating with vendors and suppliers, and maintaining procurement records.

Responsibilities:

• Process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure the timely delivery of materials.
• Update and maintain procurement records and databases.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers.

Requirements and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a bachelor’s degree).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
