Job Overview
As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the dining area to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

- Ensure that all staff members are well-groomed and adhere to the restaurant's dress code.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to the service staff, including waiters/waitresses, busboys/girls, and hosts/hostesses.
- Train new hires on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Monitor and ensure the smooth flow of operations, coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring an adequate supply of dining essentials such as cutlery, glassware, and napkins.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve customer service and increase customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including COVID-19 protocols, to ensure a safe dining experience for both staff and customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain or in a similar supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must adhere to strict grooming and hygiene standards.
