Job Overview

As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. Responsibilities

• Ensure that all staff members are well-groomed and adhere to the restaurant's dress code.
• Assign duties and responsibilities to the service staff, including waiters/waitresses, busboys/girls, and hosts/hostesses.
• Train new hires on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
• Monitor and ensure the smooth flow of operations, coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils.
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring an adequate supply of dining essentials such as cutlery, glassware, and napkins.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve customer service and increase customer satisfaction.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including COVID-19 protocols, to ensure a safe dining experience for both staff and customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain or in a similar supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must adhere to strict grooming and hygiene standards.
